Owner Katie Forbes is a woman with intense entrepreneurial spirit. With one restaurant already in good pilot mode, she decided to venture on another thing she loves--milk tea.
There has been an influx of milk tea shops everywhere, from local to international brands swooping the nation, and even the normal, entrepreneurial Filipinos following suit to make their own name in the already packed industry and even infusing some trendy ideas (e.g. chocnut flavored ones).
As for us, Kezzo wants to remind the consumer of the beauty of how it really is, just milk and tea, but strengthening an element that is obvious in its name itself—cheese.
As the designer, I used that as the jump-off point of the brand, taking it literally and making it cornerstone of imagery. Our approach was if the owner wanted to bring back the original essence of milk tea, then the imagery should be fun, and no frills, straightforward, and will not be misinterpreted.
