Ayala Museum, a front runner for pushing the Filipino culture, presented another part of their Design Talks, this time showcasing a world-class duo of fashion designer who has been creating waves in the international market.
Proud Race, a partnership between fashion designers Pat Bondoc and Rik Rasos, is a brand that pushes the boundaries of street wear, striking the balance between rebellious and trendy, gathering inspiration from everyday life, the 90s, and pop culture.
Since its inception back in 2010, stockists from neighboring countries like Hong Kong, Singapore, and Malaysia has started to ride their waves, powerful enough sending echoes to other fashion giants like Japan, California, and Europe!
The event was sponsored by local street wear giant Team Manila, Adobo Magazine, Bleach Catastrophe, and STATUS Magazine.
Proud Race’s Rik Rasos and Pat Bondoc. Something to be proud about Proud Race? They are self-funded. Talk about self-made.
The duo showcased their works, their history (that wasn’t all peachy, but inspiring for all who would want to partake the same path). Their success just shows that it is the brave who gets the glory. Of course.
The talk ended with the audience not only been given how it is to penetrate the market, but some lucky individuals also took home limited Proud Race x Team Manila.
Thank you Ayala Museum for bringing yet another talk on inspiring not just the youth, but also those artists who have the capacity to go big in the industry but still trying to gather strength and inspiration. Another story to book.
